Introduction
Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR) organized a workshop titled “Building and Promoting Narratives” at Islamabad on 6th July, 2019. Diverse group of people from various backgrounds participated in the daylong training workshop including Irfan gardazi Journalist from Bagh AJK, Fatima Anwar from Rawalakot AJK, Samina Yousaf Abbasi from Dhirkot AJK, Momina and Basit from Muzaffarabad AJK, Asim Aslam from Mansehra KPK and Dr. Fatima Ashraf specializing in Radiology and other fellow members of team KIIR.
Objective
The main objective of this daylong training workshop was primarily aimed at building the capacity of the participants and to enhance their understandings and perceptions about Leadership, Personality Types, notion of Confidence, Narratives, Counter Narratives and other related broader concepts. The Workshop concluded with creating a sense of urgency with effective leadership & communication skills, forming a strategic vision, enlisting the help of others through emotional intelligence and active listening, removing barriers, achieving short-term wins together and achieving change.
