The Kashmir Institute of International Relations is a non-profit, non-partisan; non-governmental organization established in 1993.With the motto of “Peace through Dialogue”, KIIR is working for a peaceful South Asia, with Special emphasis on Kashmir to reduce the human sufferings in this area by resolving the conflict.
It contributed in developing durable relationship with individuals, interest groups and institutions in South Asia and around the world working towards conflict resolution, human rights, reconciliation and peace.
KIIR is greatly concerned about the non-involvement of Kashmiris in the process of conflict resolution. It is continuously involved in supporting Kashmiri stakeholders in capacity building efforts. In its efforts for global peace and resolution of Kashmir conflict KIIR has engaged policy makers and policy implementers: members of parliament, political activists, lawyers, journalists, academics and social activists. KIIR is working to enhance the capacity of civil society actors in the areas of reconciliation, negotiation skills and conflict resolution. The objective of these initiatives is to prepare the grounds for reconciliation and peace.
